Lot Details
miniature bottle of greyish brown clay. Slightly domed base; the squat ovoid body set on an integrated foot; wide shoulder with a wide, everted, mouth. Two ring handles set opposite from shoulder to above the lip. The exterior body and mouth with an opaque brown glaze. Cat. Note/Ref.: The type does not appear in the observed literature although the clay and glaze match an elephant figure illustrated in Dick Richards, South-East Asian ceramics: Thai, Vietnamese, and Khmer (Kuala Lumpur: Oxford University Press, 1995), pl. 65.
